So for our challenge this week at Our Creative Corner, our fabulous hostess, Meihsia Liu of Simply Paper Crafts, asked us to create a circular, Fall themed card/project using the colors and objects of the season. I couldn't wait to get started!
Here is my design team card. I turned to Tim Holtz for my inspiration!
I immediately turned to one of Tim Holtz' videos and tutorial, HERE for my alcohol and glassine leaves. My photo doesn't quite show the depth of color I achieved on the leaves, but they look so real in real life.
Please drop by Our Creative Corner
and join in on our challenge. I promise you'll have fun with this
fabulous technique! Also, check out the awesome projects from the FAB

Wow, is this ever GORGEOUS, Marcy! I love your amazing leaves and this wonderful design! The rolled roses are so beautiful too! Nice work, my friend! :)
Hi, Marcy! I HAD to come take another look at this BEAUTY you've created! Every detail is simply BEAUTIFUL! The leaves are FABULOUS!
OH, I so enjoy Tim's videos and tutorials. I learn so much by watching him create. (I did have the pleasure of watching him in person, when he was in Texas.) Thanks for the link to his video. I never grow tired of watching them.
Hope you're feeling better.
HUGS! ♥
Oh, Marcy, this card is so elegant. I love the beautiful golden leaves and the gorgeous doily made with TH's die. The big button is such a great accent!.. :)
Dad-gum Marcy!! What a gorgeous circular depiction of fall on your card. The leaves look amazing and the layout on this textural beauty is just wonderful!! You were absolutely fired up to do this one...it's BEAUTIFUL!!
Marcy this is so pretty, I love the look you have created!!
Marcy, I'm a closet TH fan. I watch his videos, and have secret urges to recreate his work. But, I lack his vision and I admire yours! I love what TH does with kraft glassine. And your leaves are superb! Those yellow rolled roses are just the perfect balance to an already gorgeous creation.
have a great week. hugs, sharon w.
This is more than just A CARD! It's a MASTERPIECE, Marcy! You have got Tim's essence in this circle card! The leaves are absolutely GLORIOUS and I love how you tie the prettiness with a bow and with the addition of rosettes! VERY inspiring work, my friend!
Just gorgeous, Marcy - love those delicate leaves! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at the Simon Says Stamp challenge!!
This is just beautiful Marcy! I love the shape for sure, but it the whole design that's eye candy! Love those leaves!
Hi Marcy, this is just beautiful. Those leaves have a fabulous shimmer. A very feminine depiction of fall. All in all gorgeous. Nicola x
I really love what you have done here, Marcy. The use of the distressed doily die is brilliant and that velvet ribbon is completely yummy! And you can even go wrong using that awesome kraft glassine! Sorry I am so late getting around to thanking you for sharing in Sunday Share at Frilly and Funkie. I'm so thrilled that you played along and best of luck in the drawing!
Hugs,
Linda
